Kildare handballer Leah Doyle landed a Leinster title for herself on Wednesday night following a fantastic showing in Tinryland.

Leixlip youngster Doyle was in sublim form as she beat Cora Doyle of Wexford to win the 40x20 Ladies Leinster Minor title, beating her opponent on a scoreline of 21-13 in the first game before turning on the style to win 21-3 in the second game.

It was a great showing of power shots and outstanding class from Doyle as she dominated her namesake from Wexford, and she will now go on to represent Leinster in the All-Ireland semi-final in two weeks' time, where she will come up against an Ulster representative.

Last year she won All-Ireland titles at U16, U17 and minor level, and she was named as the Leixlip Handball Player of the Year following her achievements.
