The Kildare ladies footballers have been boosted by the commitment from local company Brady's Family Ham to sponsor the senior team for the remainder of the year.

The Lilies will be playing in the All-Ireland Intermediate Championship this year, while they have also secured a place in the Division 3 National League semi-final against Wexford in Stradbally tomorrow.

Brady's, who have a large company base near Timahoe in west Kildare, have been the sponsors for the Kildare senior footballers and hurlers for a number of years, and the partnership is one of their key marketing strategies.

The team received two sets of jerseys from manufacturer O'Neill's on Friday night, and current Kildare senior footballer Niall Kelly, who is the Marketing Executive for O'Brien Fine Foods (the operators of Brady's Family Ham), dropped in to Hawkfield to present the jerseys to team manager Daniel Moynihan and players Rebecca McGuirk, Caoimhe Keoghegan and captain Roisin Byrne.
