Kildare ladies game called off after opponents concede tie 72 hours in advance

The Kildare ladies' first match of their National League campaign has been called off after their opponents, Leitrim, forfeited the game more than 72 hours before throw-in.
The Lilywhites were due to host the Connacht side in their first game of the new season at Hawkfield this Sunday at 2pm.
They will receive the three points for the win - it's three points rather than two in ladies football - and their first game will now be pushed back until the following weekend when they meet Offaly down in the Faithful County's home venue, the exact whereabouts has to be decided yet.
