Kildare set for Croke Park again as GAA confirm details for qualifier tie with Armagh
16:05 Monday 17th of July 2017

Kildare's meeting with Armagh will take place in Croke Park on Saturday July 29 after the GAA confirmed the details of the round 4b clash this afternoon.

It means that Cian O'Neill's side will return to GAA headquarters just 13 days after their 2-23 to 0-17 Leinster final defeat to Dublin, and the game will be part of a double-header on the evening. Monaghan and Down will play each other in the other round 4b qualifier, with throw-in for that game scheduled for 5pm. Kildare's meeting with Armagh will throw-in at 7pm, and both games will feature live on Sky Sports.

The winner of the meeting between Kildare and Armagh - a game which pits former Lilywhites manager Kieran McGeeney against his old team - will go forward to the All-Ireland quarter-finals on the following weekend.

If the game finishes level after normal time two 10 minute periods of extra-time will be played.
