The seventh annual Hurling for Cancer Research game is coming back to Kildare this year, and a whole host of stars from a variety of sports are set to take part once again.
The now annual game returns for its seventh successive year to St Conleth's Park in Newbridge, and it will take place on Tuesday August 14 at 6pm.
The teams will be led by Champion Jockey Davy Russell and Wexford horse trainer Jim Bolger. Big names from the horse racing industry such as trainer Willie Mullins and jockey Kevin Manning will play a role in the game. There is no shortage in legendary GAA stars past and present as the likes of Davy Fitzgerald, Henry Shefflin, Joe Brolly, Tommy Walsh and Peter Canavan will join current intercounty players Richie Hogan, Lee Chin and TJ Reid on the field.
Former Irish soccer players Niall Quinn and Stephen Hunt are also set to feature in what is always a highly enjoyable game, which is commentated on by the legendary Micheál Ó'Muircheartaigh.

The 7th Hurling For Cancer Fundraiser will take place on Tuesday 14th August from 6pm in St. Conleth's Park.
