St Kevin's clubman Colin Ward has been named as the Kildare minor football manager for 2019.
Ward was the manager of the Lilywhites' junior football side that claimed the Leinster title earlier this year before going down to Kerry in an All-Ireland semi-final in Navan. The experienced coach has previously held numerous management posts with underage squads in Kildare, and he will have worked with many of the the next batch of minors that are coming through in the new year.
Kildare are in a Leinster Minor Football Championship group alongside Kilkenny, Louth and Wicklow.
Ward replaces Padraig Carbury who spent one year in the role, leading Kildare to a Leinster final where they lost out to Meath, and an All-Ireland quarter-final where Monaghan got the best of them.
