North Kildare RFC run their annual Spring 7's tournament next weekend and it promises to be a great event

North Kildare RFC will be running their annual Spring 7's competition next weekend and it promises to be a great day for all who attend, whether or not they have any history playing rugby.
7's tournaments are always massive fun to watch and take part in as the brand of rugby played is much more expansive than the usual 15-a-side game, though it is slightly more exhausting for those who are playing.
There will be men's, ladies and under 18 teams involved in various different tournaments during the afternoon, which kicks off at 11am next Saturday morning.
North Kildare RFC are hoping to attract locals and families down to the club to soak up the atmosphere and enjoy the day, even if only for a few hours. There’s a huge amount of activity beyond just rugby to keep the whole family entertained.
There will be bouncing castles, face painting, live music, pet farm, BBQ and a bake sale on the grounds as well– all this in addition to the facilities in the club house bar, and of course the on pitch entertainment.
"Parking and admission for spectators is free of charge, and we would be delighted to welcome down to the club anyone looking to join us. It’s a great opportunity for is in the club to get to know the community that bit better," said a spokesperson for North Kildare RFC.
Proceedings will start with the first matches kicking off around 11am, and the finals will likely be played at around 5pm, after which there will be a prize giving ceremony in the club house.
