Smith on song as Kildare go in level at half-time in high scoring encounter

Clare 1-8

Allianz NFL Division 3

It's all square here in St Conleth's Park at half-time in what has been the most entertaining game of the league by a country mile from a Kildare point of view.

Some of the scores that have been kicked by Kildare in the first half have been nothing short of superb as a variety of long range efforts have been well mixed with intricate moves that has brought the crowd to their feet on numerous occasions.

Alan Smith has accounted for four of Kildare's points, one of them being a monstrous effort from almost 50 metres out, while Niall Kelly, Paul Cribbin and Eoghan O'Flaherty have struck a couple of points each.

Clare have played well too and have been excellently led by Gary Brennan and David Tubirdy, while Pat Burke found the net for the Banner Men with 10 minutes played.
