VIDEO: Kildare business offers "generous reward" to catch burglars

Burglars took till and came back for safe in Naas

A barber shop in Kildare has been targeted in an early-morning break-in, with Gardaí now investigating the incident.

The owner of Bruno Barbers on the Dublin Road in Naas reported that the premises was attacked at approximately 4.25am on Sunday, when three individuals forced entry through the front door, causing significant damage before stealing cash from the till. The suspects later returned to the shop and took a safe from the property.

According to the business owner, “Sunday morning at 4.25 am our barbers was targeted by 3 individuals, they vandalised our front door with forced entry, robbed our till then came back for the safe.”

The incident involved three males and a car, all of which were captured on CCTV. Footage has since been handed over to Garda Síochána as part of their ongoing investigation.

The owner has appealed to the public for assistance, saying: “Please if anybody has any information or seen any suspicious activity around the barbers Saturday night into Sunday morning please contact us or Naas Garda Station.”

Despite the incident, the business has confirmed it will reopen as normal this week.

“It will take a lot more than three unhappy men in their own lives trying to jeopardise another proud man’s business,” the owner said.

CCTV footage of the suspects has been shared, and a reward is being offered for information leading to those responsible.

The owner added: “Anybody that can help. Please guys if you could share this post out and please help get these caught. Generous reward will be given.”
