‘I loved the school I went to’: Lily Allen reveals she lived in Kildare as a child

Lily Allen lived in Kildare while her parents were going through a divorce
A popular singer has revealed she “loved the school” she went to while living in Kildare as a child in the late 1980s.
Lily Allen shared that while her parents - actors Keith Allen and Alison Owen - were going through a divorce, she lived with her mother in Leixlip.
She was speaking to Dave Moore on Today FM ahead of her 3Arena show next month.
“It was just before my parents got divorced. I must have been about four or five,” the popstar revealed.
Lily lived in Leixlip for about a year and remembers “quite a lot” from the time.
She said “they weren’t happy memories” because of the situation with her parents, however, there were moments she did enjoy.
“I loved the school that I went to and we lived in this beautiful house,” she said.
“We would walk across the fields every day to go to school,” Lily added.
Her mother was working on the film ‘Hear my Song’ with Josef Locke in Kildare at the time.
Lily shared that it was a “totally different experience” to the Central London scene she had been used to growing up.
Lily Allen will play the 3Arena on June 30th and July 1st.
