Derelict units may be converted into apartments in one well-known Kildare area

Kildare County Council will make a decision on the proposal in December
A new planning permission application shows that derelict units may be converted into apartments in one well-known County Kildare area.
It shows that Lockbridge Retail Limited, which also trades under SuperValu Sallins, is seeking permission from Kildare County Council (KCC) to make the changes at SuperValu Station House, which is part of The Waterways in Sallins.
According to the description contained within the application, Lockbridge Retail Ltd wants a change of use for the two number derelict retail units on the ground floor of the premises to residential use.
This would consist of two one-bedroom apartments with internal private gardens, including onsite car parking spaces for each apartments with existing onsite refuse facility.
Lockbridge Retail Ltd is also seeking permission from KCC all associated site works.
The date received is listed as October 15 last.
The submission-by and due dates are listed as November 18, 2026 and December 9, 2026 respectively.
