Shoppers in Naas and surrounding areas will be disappointed to hear that three major retail outlets will be closed for a large amount of August. 'Due to unforeseen circumstances' Heatons, EZ Living Furniture and Smyths will be closed for the next two weeks. A spokesperson said: "We would like to apologise to all our customers for this inconvenience, and would like to assure you that staff in all affected stores are working hard to open their doors to you again."
Initially, following the fire a spokesperson at Heatons said: "Our Naas Store is closed for the next few days. Unfortunately there was a fire in Smyth’s Toys Store which is located two doors up from us. Fortunately nobody was hurt, but there has been smoke damage to our store. We are working to get the store operational as soon as possible and will keep you posted on its reopening."
All other stores at Globe Retail Park including Harry Corry, Maxi Zoo, Expert and Woodies are open for business as usual.
Last week emergency services were called to the scene of a large fire at Smyths Toystore in the Globe Retail Park in Naas.
