Despite needing plenty of work, this 18th century estate in Sallins has been put on the market for €6.5M

If you were to spend €6.5 million on a house and the surrounding lands, you would expect to be buying something of extravagant nature that requires next to no restoration work. Landenstown House in Sallins is a different story however, and the gargantuan estate comes with a pretty hefty price tag. The Palladian House is built on an estate that stretches over 338 acres, but it is in need of some serious restoration work. In fact, the house needs a complete overhaul as it has become fully dilapidated, while the two country lodges built adjacent to the 18th century property also need a full facelift. It is sure to be of interest to some buyers however. The location is the main selling point, while it is also very rare that a property with such a huge amount of land goes onto the market in this area of the country. There is also a portion of the Grand Canal that partially binds the land, so this restoration project could attract plenty of interest in the coming months.
