Lemongrass in Naas has one of the most extensive menus of any restaurant in Ireland - and is perfectly designed to cater for every taste and mood.
The easygoing ambience makes you feel like you could stay at your table for hours and the always pleasant decor was jazzed up by tasteful Christmas decorations.
The open kitchen with busy Asian chefs is also a pleasing sight as we watched our food being cooked.
When we visited at 8pm on Sunday evening, there were still families finishing their meals at tables while there were also couples dining in intimate corners.
A 'birthday girl' and her pals were having a lively time in the corner.
Of course all food is hand-prepared on site by Asian chefs using all natural ingredients. The restaurant - including its sister outlet in Citywest - doesn't use MSG, preservatives or artificial colourings.
To begin, I ordered a bottle of Singha beer which is brewed in Thailand while my companion opted for a bottle of non-alcoholic wine - and it's encouraging that this option is offered - so well done Lemongrass!
A full cocktail menu featuring festive favourites is also available from the well-stocked bar.
As we waited for our Starters, we picked at a platter of Crab Claws cooked in ginger butter soy served with freshly-baked naan bread.
I opted for the Asian Broth starter which was delivered promptly by the effortlessly friendly and efficient waiting staff.
It consisted of flat rice noodles, beef fillet, bean sprouts and spring onion in a delicious Vietnamese broth with fresh coriander and red chilli.
It was a little hot due to added chillis but I soon got used to it!
My companion chose the Lamb Maki which looked like an artist's palette with a smorgasbord of colour and flavour.
It featured six pieces of Maki with pickled ginger, pickled radish, salmon roe, wasabi and Kikkoman soy.
For the Main Course, I chose Monkfish Skewers - a new addition to the Menu - which was accompanied by stir-fried vegetables and organic brown rice.
My companion chose the Beef Garlic - which staff told us was the most popular dish ordered by customers. It consists of a stir-fried sirloin of beef with a garlic, chilli and soy sauce.
For dessert we both shared the Homemade Baileys Cheescake which was deliciously fresh.
A couple of piping hot coffees rounded off a very enjoyable evening and I will certainly be back in coming weeks for Christmas drinks and food - with a gang of pals or with office colleagues.
