A punter at Punchestown won almost €50k on a €20 bet yesterday

A lucky racegoer is laughing all the way to the bank this morning after their €10 Each-Way Accumulator (pictured) on four horses at Punchestown came up trumps. The customer from Dublin, who wishes to remain anonymous, selected Bobabout (12/1) in the 3:40, Don’t Touch It (9/2) in the 4:15, Unowhatimeanharry (9/2) in the 5:30 and Minella Awards (11/1) in the 6:05. All four horses came home at the at the National Hunt venue resulting in the €20 bet returning a whopping €48,795.63. Liam Glynn, BoyleSports spokesperson said: “Hats off to this lucky Dublin punter who turned €20 into over €48K on Thursday with their savvy picking at Punchestown. "No doubt they are popping the champagne a little bit earlier than expected as we head into the bank holiday weekend.” He added “Unowhatimeanharry just won by a head but the customer also benefited by taking our Best Odds Guaranteed morning prices as Bobabout, Unowhatimeanharry and Minella Awards all returned at smaller SPs.”
