PHOTO GALLERY: Carbury Hot Rod & Rookie Bangers host Chris 'Flash' Delaney Memorial Cup Day

A thrilling weekend of racing was held recently at Carbury Hot Rod Tracks 2 Day Event with well over 100 cars signed in over the 2 days. Drivers travelled from near and far to put on an excellent display of racing, and supporting The Chris Flash Delaney Memorial Cup Day. The organisers said: "Thanks To Linda & the extended Delaney Family for allowing us to hold such an event in Chris's Memory. "Congratulations to Anthony Coyne on winning the Final, bringing The Chris "Flash" Delaney Memorial Cup back to Allenwood. Many Thanks to the Large crowd of spectators who braved the damp weather to support this event. "Many Thanks to Brian Mullen, Donal Carroll and Mark Gavigan for helping us out with organising Ireland's 1st Micro Banger Meeting on Shale." The organisers thanked their sponsors: Daingean uPVC Lawnmower Crew Michael Flaherty Plumbing and Heating Donal Glennon Agri Hire Denise Kane Daly, (Diddy Do) Mark Cassidy Judge Haulage Judge Fuels Donal Carroll Transport Tony Coyne Kennedy International. The organisers added: "Thanks to Marshals/Flags men, for their time in helping out at the track at every race day events. "Ladies in The Chipper, to the Gate & Shop Assistants, Photographers & Videographers, Tractor & Jeep Drivers, to Michelle for recording points, to the Ambulance Crew, to Bounce for Fun for providing us with the Bouncy Castle. "Thanks To DJ Damien Coyne, for providing us with the music the Saturday Night. And Last but not least, A Huge Thanks to All The Hard Working Committee of Carbury Hot Rod Track, for the time and dedication in helping out at the track and coming together to make every event so successful.!!!
