The home of the well-known Merlin Car Auctions in Kildare is up for sale. The vast property, which is located at the M7 Motor Park in Naas, was entered onto the property market in the past week and has an asking price of €1.9 million. The popular auction has been running in Kildare for more than 40 years and operates once a week, with more than 500 vehicles listed for every auction. The property comprises a purpose-built car auction/showroom facility with ancillary office space. The property is laid out to include a showroom/auction area, ancillary offices, a reception area, and a sit-down customer restaurant. This element of the facility extends to approximately 11,954 sq feet. The canopy level forms an extension of the main roof and covers an area of approximately 30,371 sq.ft. Ample customer parking is provided for. There is also a large valeting centre on site which consists of two semi-detached warehouse style buildings situated to the western edge of the site. The first building provides for a combination of warehouse and office space and extends to approximately 4,637 sq feet whilst the second building is currently in use as a car valeting centre and extends to approximately 4,529 sq feet. The remainder of the site comprises of tarmacadam car parking/compound area. The site is secured by steel wire mesh fencing and has ample floodlighting and CCTV cameras. The site borders greenfield to its eastern and western boundaries, the main estate road to its north-western boundary and an industrial facility to its northern boundary. In total, the property is 14.7 acres in size. There is an agreement for a five year lease in place which began in September 2017.
