REVIEW: 12 Week Blowdry at Neeba in Whitewater Shopping Centre

12 Week Blowdry  Last week, I trialled the 12-week blowdry treatment at Neeba Whitewater.  Niamh, my hairdresser had suggested this treatment for a number of months, but honestly I, had little faith in it! I say this because my hair is pretty much like straw. It is fuzzy and some days would remind me of Monica from Friends when the humidity hits her hair! Unless I straighten it with my beloved GHD, I really have no business going out in public. To think I could get a treatment that would allow me to simply ‘blast’ my hair after washing it and head out for all to see, really made me sceptical - but also quite excited! The treatment takes approximately 3 hours, so I prepared myself for a long afternoon in the salon and got comfortable. It was explained that the treatment is keratin-enriched which seals the hair cuticles leaving it smooth and sleek for weeks. There are no harsh chemicals and only benefits to your hair; it causes absolutely no damage. The treatment involved working an ointment into the hair, section-by section. The hair is then dried, and the most time-consuming part is next. The product is sealed into the hair with a straightener, small sections at a time. Once this is completed, you are washed and blow-dried and set to go. Incredible difference Once the final blow-dry was completed, I could see the difference in the condition of my hair. It was incredibly shining and felt so silky. I explained to Niamh, the real test would be when I washed and dried my own hair at home. So I put it to the test 2 days after, and I was amazed. I simply blasted my hair while running my fingers through it, and there I had silky smooth hair. I had wished this day would come for years!! I could still use my GHD, if I wanted to add a little ‘shape’ or body to my hair, but other than that, I had straight sleek hair – I couldn’t believe it! 12 Weeks of sleek hair The only unfortunate aspect, is that it is not permanent. Niamh explained that after 12 weeks I would be due a ‘top-up’ which I will certainly be back for. The cost is €150. This is exceptionally good value considering the end result and the extra 15mins it will give me every morning now I don’t have to tend to my unruly tresses! (not to mention what it costs to have a weekly blowdry for 12 weeks). 12 weeks of uninterrupted silky hair, you have to try this, highly recommended!
