REVIEW: HIFU Non-surgical Facelift at 3D Aphrodite, Clane

By Anna Fortune  I first met Sabrina in 3D Aphrodite Clane Clinic 3 months ago when I started my journey to brighter, healthier skin. In previous reviews I raved about Sabrina’s knowledge and all-round professionalism when it comes to all things face and body. Her clinic and her staff are all top rated, and it's a real joy to be treated at the clinic. After I had done a course of three micro-dermabrasion sessions, the improvement in my skin was immense, and it spurred me on to start a better home skin-care routine. I now religiously cleanse, tone, serum and moisturise my face every night – and those 3 minutes I dedicate to my skin has made a massive improvements. I really started to examine my face and the areas I would love to improve that a facial simply would never achieve. However I was not ready to go down the road of fillers and injectables quite yet After chatting to Sabrina during one of our consultations, she guided me through the HIFU non-surgical facelift that is now a hot topic with bloggers and celebrities alike. She explained in great detail the treatment - as Sabrina always does!....... and advised me that the areas of my concern would be improved with this treatment. This non-surgical skin lifting has become one of the most sought after treatments and HIFU is the latest non-surgical technology to excel in this area. What areas can be improved with 3D-HIFU Face? My eyelids and jowls and seriously started to droop in the past five years and started to get very excited about what the 3D –HIFU could do for me. This treatment is fantastic for overall skin tightening and rejuvenation as well as: • individual brow-lifting • jowl line lifting • nasolabial fold reduction (laughter lines) • periorbital wrinkle reduction • overall skin tightening and rejuvenation Now the technical bit……… The highly focused acoustic energy creates thermal coagulation zones at 3 different selected depths, following which a wound healing response results in the formation of new collagen thus providing a longer term tightening of the skin. How many treatments? This is when I really became excited about the 3D-HIFU Face - just one single treatment is recommended and then a maintenance treatment is advised every 18 months. Another one of the major advantages to this treatment: there is absolutely no down time associated with this non-invasive procedure. After my consultation with Sabrina, I immediately jumped at the chance to have this treatment. Sabrina again assessed my skin condition, and because I had the microdermabrasion and LED light sessions recently, and had continued a good home skin routine, Sabrina “passed” me for the treatment. Sabrina explained the better the condition of your skin, the better the results you will achieve from the 3D-HIFU treatment. So I got the all-important patch test done and I was booked in for the following week. I will be honest, when the day came of the treatment came I was a little nervous. I knew it was going to be 2-3 hour session, and Sabrina did explain that it was not going to be a relaxing facial experience. However I was so excited for the results I put these nerves to one side. Again Sabrina explained in details what was going to happen and explained the equipment she was going to be using. What do you experience during treatment? During the treatment, the 3D HIFU face hand piece is placed on the skin and held in one area at a time. The sensation on your skin is a slight vibration and warmth. In some areas the sensation is very manageable and pain free, but there were certain areas that were slightly more painful than others. Along the jaw the sensation was sharper - but totally manageable. Sabrina talked me through a simple breathing technique, and once I had mastered that I was fine. I will say that I have exceptionally sensitive skin, which Sabrina is all too aware of. Throughout all my treatments in 3D Aphrodite, Clane, Sabrina and her team have minded my skin like baby skin, and understand my sensitivity levels. Sabrina had explained to me that I may be more sensitive to the treatment, but she would manage the treatment as required. Results As soon as the treatment was finished I could see a massive difference. It was explained that these results would subside after a few days, as my skin was immediately contracting to the treatment. A real noticeable improvement in my facial contouring and fine lines and wrinkles were noticeable within about four weeks. It’s now been 6 weeks since my treatment, and my face is still continuing to improve.  My skin is tightening around my jowl and brow area, and my wrinkles have continued to soften.   I would highly recommend this treatment and absolutely delighted with the results of this one session treatment!
