A new pedestrian crossing 'is needed' in this Kildare town

It would provide 'a safe way across'
A new pedestrian crossing should be built in Naas.
Fine Gael councillor Fintan Brett has asked Kildare County Council to provide it at Balllymore Road, adjacent to the Swan's store.
He says it should be consructed where the dropped kerbs/tactile paving is located. Tactile paving helps ensure that vision impaired people can navigate public spaces.
Cllr Brett believes the crossing will ensure a safe crossing area for pedestrians.
