Brand new €4m Kildare supermarket will open in about two weeks

The new Lidl store in Naas is significantly bigger
A new Lidl store on the outskirts of Naas is expected to be open well in advance of the Christmas shopping rush.
The Lidl store in Naas has been shut since May for a complete demolition and rebuild project - at an estimated cost of at least €3.8m.
In the meantime, the former building has been knocked to the ground to make way for a new supermarket.
It’s understood the new outlet will reopen on November 19.
The project will result in a part single storey, part two storey foodstore occupying 2,572 square metres.
This will replace the previous entity which had 1,720 square metres of floor space.
The site layout and car parking will be reconfigured.
The access for vehicles will be reorganised for delivery purposes and a new main access for motorists will be created from the road which also serves the Naas Retail Park, which is home to B&Q, Harvey Norman, JYSK and Choice .
Also planned is a new pedestrian access point from Newbridge Road, replacing the existing one.
There will also be new signage, a free standing trolley bay and enclosure as well as a refrigeration and air conditioning plant and equipment and an electricity sub-station.
There are also plans for public lighting, electric vehicle charging infrastructure, roof mounted solar panels, cycle parking as well as changes to the existing drainage, utility and services infrastructure and connections.
