'It's a hot one today' - Organisers behind Springsteen gig urge fans to stay hydrated

Organisers behind the Bruce Springsteen gig at Croke Park tonight (May 19) are urging people to keep hydrated due to the hot weather.

Aiken Promotions posted advice on X (formerly Twitter) earlier today to urge people to utilise water refill stations in the stadium throughout the concert.

The statement reads, "Dublin... your time to shine! It's a hot one today at Croke Park, please keep hydrated. Water and refill stations are available throughout the stadium. Arrive early, gates 5pm!"

According to Met Éireann, temperatures are expected to reach highs of 23 degrees today.

Tonight's temperatures will range from 7 to 10 degrees with light variable breezes, while Monday morning will be dry with plenty of sunny spells and highest temperatures of 19 to 23 degrees.

Elsewhere, a Status Yellow thunderstorm warning was issued for five counties including Carlow, Kilkenny, Cork, Tipperary and Waterford.

Torrential downpours with spot flooding and lightning strikes are expected in the affected areas until 8pm tonight.
