An open mic event is scheduled to take place at a well-known South Kildare book shop.
Woodbine Books in Kilcullen will be hosting an Open Mic Night next week, and will coincide with Irish Book Week 2024.
The event will involve authors reading out poetry, short stories, essays, flash fiction.
It will also feature music.
"Contact us to be added to the performer list," the organisers have said: "Audience members are welcome, and participation is not required!"
Newbridge-based author Maria McDonald has been confirmed as one of the guests for this event.
The Open Mic Night will take place on Wednesday, October 23 and will commence at 7.30pm.
