Caragh Bridge reopening this afternoon

Caragh Bridge will open today easing traffic congestion over the last few months.

Due to structural, containment and width issues associated with the bridge a weight restriction of 3.5 tonnes and a width restriction of 2.4m will apply.

Also traffic lights and kerbing, restricting the width of the road will be in place.

Also as part of these works, the railway bridge at Thomastown  will have permanent traffic lights operational due to its width and alignment.
