No insurance for sports or community groups in Kildare

Kildare County Council says it’s not in a position to do this
Kildare County Council says it can't provide insurance for sports, community or voluntary groups.
KCC was asked by Cllr Seamie Moore if this would be “an appropriate time for Kildare for it to consider the purchase of a group Insurance protection” for Public Participation Network-registered clubs and groups in the Naas area.
The PPN is the main official link between local county councils in Ireland and community groups, voluntary organisations, and sports clubs.
KCC said it is not in the position to purchase a group insurance protection scheme for PPN registered clubs and groups in the Naas district.
It added that the Tidy Towns insurance is “a national scheme offered by our insurer.”
