Co Kildare Gardaí warn about escalating break- in to vans with work tools

Owners of vans with tools inside are being urged by Gardaí to empty the vehicles and lock up in sheds, before going to sleep.

In the early hours of the morning, earlier this week, a white transit van was broken into at Castledermot.

Between 1am and 2am, at St John’s estate, tools were stolen.

According to Garda Audrey Sheridan, tools being stolen from vans is a rising crime throughout the county.

She said: “The contents of the vans should be locked in a secure shed.”
