Gardaí are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the disappearance of thirty-year-old Matthew Carroll who has not been seen since the 8th June 1998.

Matthew, a father of one, was out socialising with friends in the Roxboro area, they were celebrating a recent win for a local football team, Carew Park who had won the Lawson Cup the previous day.
Matthew was last seen leaving the Steering Wheel public house at Roxboro shopping centre at around 8pm to walk the short distance to his home on nearby Rose court.
Matthew never arrived home and has not been seen since.

His daughter Trudy, now aged 25, and his brother Seamus appealed for information on Crimecall.

Matthew's daughter Trudy (above) was just five-years-old when her father went missing.
She said: "When dad went missing I was really young so I have some memories but I don't really have much memories."
"I can remember Mam calling me down one night and sitting me down and telling me what was kinda going on and that he wasn't going to be around anymore.
"I feel that I missed out on a lot because I can see it in my two-year-old, the strong bond he has with his dad and I didn't have a chance to have that with mine."
Appeal:
Gardaí are appealing to anyone with information about the disappearance of Mathew to come forward.
