Tributes paid to 'wonderful, loving, caring' woman from Kildare who passed this week

Tributes have been paid to a 'wonderful, loving, caring' woman from Kildare who passed this week.

Jackie O'Neill (Née Farrell), Parkside, Portlaoise and late of Brownstown, The Curragh, Co. Kildare, passed away peacefully on the February 1 2025 surrounded by her loving family.

Beloved wife of Arthur, dearly loved mother to Samantha, Billie-jean and JoAnn, predeceased by her daughter baby Sharon.

Cherished grandmother to Jade, Nicole, and Carolina and great grandmother to Aiden.

Deeply regretted by her brothers Brian and Edward. Sons in law Jason and Eddie.

Life long friends Geraldine, Anne, Mary, sisters in law Brenda and Fiona. Nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.

Tributes paid on RIP.ie included: “Rest in peace Jackie xxx Wonderful memories of just Four and time spent with u at Brownstown, always a cuppa and a chat A wonderful loving caring individual. So sorry Arthur, Samantha, Billie-jean and JoAnn. bless all xxx.”

Also: “Sincere condolences Arthur and all your family on the sad passing of your beloved wife Jackie. May she rest in peace. Thinking of you at this very difficult time.”

While another mourner wrote: “Sincere sympathy to you Arthur and family and extended family on the sad passing of Jackie,May her gentle soul Rest in Peace.”

And another wrote: “I’m so sorry to hear about Jackie. My thoughts are with Arthur and the whole family during this tough time. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam.”

May she rest in peace.

Reposing at Keegan's funeral home, Portlaoise on Monday February 3 from 6 pm until 7.30 pm.

Removal on Tuesday to St Peter and Paul’s Church for 11 am Requiem Mass.

Private cremation will follow.
