The death has occurred of Elizabeth (Betty) Thorpe, Moorefield Cottages, Standhouse Road, Newbridge, Kildare. Formerly of Piercetown, Newbridge, Co. Kildare.
Peacefully in the wonderful care of the staff of St. Vincent's Hospital, Athy surrounded by her loving family.
Daughter of the late Harry and Mary, sister of the late Theresa, David and Richard.
Sadly missed by her loving brothers and sisters Patricia, Ollie, Peter, Bill, Mary, Paddy, Gerry, Ronnie and Robbie, brothers and sisters in law, nephews and nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Glennon's Funeral Home, 32 Main Street, Newbridge from 4pm on Tuesday (27th May) with Rosary at 7pm.
Removal by Glennon's Funeral Directors on Wednesday morning to arrive at St Conleth's Parish Church, Newbridge, for Requiem Mass at 11am.
Burial afterwards in St. Conleth's Cemetery, Newbridge.

The death has occurred of Elizabeth (Elsie) Hickey (née Haughton), Blackwood, Robertstown, Kildare / Rathnew, Wicklow.
Hickey (nee Haughton), Elizabeth (Elsie) 23rd May 2025, late of Blackwood, Robertstown, Co. Kildare and formerly of Rathnew, Co. Wicklow, in her 95th year, peacefully, surrounded by her family at Wicklow Hospice, Magheramore, Wicklow.
Predeceased by her beloved husband, Paul, and sister, Pascal (Sr. M. Rosari), she is survived by her loving children, Fergal, Cliona (Christle), Darina (Jybaek) and Declan; daughter-in-law Íde, sons-in-law Mel and Torben; sisters, Carmel (Luddy),Therese (O’Boyle), Breeda (Kavanagh) and Frances (Herron); brothers, James, John and Finbarr; brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; her beloved grandchildren, Aisling, Conor, Ross, Abby, Mark, Joseph, Bjorn, Lily and Daisy; nephews; nieces; extended family and friends.
Heartfelt thanks to the staff of Wicklow Hospice and Naas General Hospital (Allen Ward), to her public health nurse and carers for their kindness and care of Elsie in the recent past and to Elsie’s neighbours for their incredible kindness and support over many years.

Stephen Barry
The death has occurred of Stephen Barry, Moore Park, Newbridge, Kildare.
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Stephen Barry, of Moore Park, Newbridge. Stephen passed away peacefully on May 22nd, 2025, surrounded by his loving family and in the compassionate care of the staff at Blackrock Clinic.
A devoted husband to Rosaleen, a cherished father to Lee-Anne, David, Stephen, and Leona, and a beloved father-in-law to David, Eddie, Lisa, and Niamh.
Stephen was a dear brother to John, Peter, and Bridget, and is fondly remembered alongside his late sisters Mary and Ann. He was a dedicated grandfather to Lucy, Tom, Dylan, Leo, Luca, Donagh, Sienna, and Fiadh, and will be deeply missed by his nieces, nephews, extended family, and his wide circle of friends — especially his swimming group.
May Stephen’s gentle soul rest in peace.
Stephen will repose at Anderson & Leahy's Funeral Home, Henry Street, Newbridge, on Sunday, May 25th from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm with prayers at 5.30pm.
His life will be celebrated with a service at St. Eustace, Dominican Church, Newbridge, on Monday at 11:00 am, which will be live-streamed on www.dominicansnewbridge.ie/live-streaming/Burial

Michael Gerard Casey
The death has occurred of Michael Gerard Casey
Sandycove, Dublin / New Ross, Wexford / Naas, Kildare
Casey, Michael Gerard (Sandycove, Co. Dublin; formerly New Ross, Co. Wexford, and Naas, Co. Kildare);
May 22nd 2025, peacefully, surrounded by family and the caring staff of the Beacon Hospital. Greatly missed by his beloved wife Grainne.
Adored and inspiring to his three sons, Rowan, Michael and Fergal and much-loved father-in-law to Helen, Robyn and Emilia.
He will be fondly remembered by his dear sister Rosemary. Devoted grandfather to Isabella, Saoirse, Cian, Orlagh and Darren.
He will be deeply missed by his extended family, and a circle of wonderful neighbours and friends including from the Central Bank, IMF, UCD Alumni, Cambridge University, St Stephen’s Green Writers and other literary groups.

Aidan Eustace
The death has occurred of Aidan Eustace, St Evins Park, Monasterevin, Kildare.
The sudden and unexpected death of Aidan has occurred in Portugal. Predeceased by his mother Angela and his brother Padraig.
Deeply regretted by his father Pat, sisters Caroline, Ann, Sandra, Fiona and Aisling, brothers in law, nieces,nephews, extended family and his many friends here in Ireland and abroad.
