RIP: Tributes paid to 'beautiful lady' from Newbridge, Kildare

A Newbridge, Co Kildare woman who passed this week has been fondly remembered as 'a beautiful lady.'

Jean Tidd (née Hughes), Dara Park, Newbridge, Co Kildare passed peacefully in Cloverlodge nursing home, Athy on January 14 last, surrounded by her loving family.

Jean is predeceased by her loving husband Andy. Sadly missed by her loving family Sophia, Anton & Christine, grandchildren Michael, Chris, Cian, Craig, Jade, Kim, Andrew, Tileigh, Cassie & Sam, sons-in-law Joe & Michael, daughter-in-law Maggie, sisters Mary, Nancy & Margaret, brother-in-law Michael, sister-in-law Maura, nieces and nephews, extended family, relatives and friends.

May Jean rest in peace.

Jean will be reposing at her daughter Sophia’s residence, Old Chapel Grove, Caragh, W91Y327 on Sunday from 4pm with prayers at 7pm.

The removal will take place by Anderson & Leahy Funeral Directors on Monday morning at 10.15am to arrive at St. Conleth’s Parish Church for Mass at 11am.

Tributes paid to Jean on RIP.ie this week include: “So sorry to hear of the sad passing of Jean. A lovely lady with a beautiful smile. My condolences to the Tidd and Hughes families. May Jean rest in peace.”

And: “Maggie, Anton and family, I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Jean. A lovely lady and huge loss to your family. Thinking of you all. May she rest in peace.”

While another mourner wrote: “My deepest condolences to all Jean's family, a beautiful lady in every way. May she rest in peace. Amen.”

And another added: “So sorry to hear of Jean's passing. From the time we were kids in the Rancho Jean was and remained a lovely pleasant neighbour. Deepest sympathies to her family, may she rest in peace.”
