A Rathangan, Co Kildare resident who passed this week has been remembered as “a true gentleman” and “a lovely neighbour.”
Kieran Allen - Preston Brook, Rathangan, Co Kildare, formerly Clane, Co Kildare, and Ballyfermot, Dublin 10 – passed peacefully at home on January 26 2026, surrounded by loving family.
Kieran is predeceased by his parents Ellen and Tony, and also his siblings Adrian, Ruth and Anthony.
Kieran will be sadly missed by his loving wife Bernie, son Gary, daughter in law Aoife, brother Joseph, sisters Jackie, Liz and Leslie, brothers and sisters in law, aunts, uncle, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends.
May Kieran Rest In Peace.

Kieran will be reposing at McWeys Funeral Home, Abbeyview, Kildare Town from 5pm on Wednesday (January 28) concluding with prayers at 7pm.
The removal will take place by Glennon's Funeral Directors on Thursday morning to arrive at The Church of the Assumption and St. Patrick, Rathangan for requiem mass at 11am.
The cremation will be held afterwards in Newlands Cross Crematorium at 1:30pm.

And another added: “As a work colleague of Kieran’s I was saddened to hear of his passing. Kieran was always courteous and helpful and made life easier for all those around him. May he rest in peace.”
