Tributes paid to Chris this week on RIP.ie include: “Heartfelt condolences to Maria and her children, Conor, Lydia, Isabelle, and Jane, on the loss of their beloved brother and uncle and sincere sympathy to his Mum Dympna , his siblings Margaret and Kevin and to all those who loved him.
“I first met Chris as a teenager in Mount Argus and then decades later when we both made our homes in Newbridge. Though decades had passed one essential remained the same , Chris was quite simply a very good man.Through all the ups and downs of life he lived a life guided by God, with a strong moral compass, gentle wisdom, and a heart full of love. He sought to bring comfort, strength, and faith to those around him.
“He will be deeply missed . May Chris rest in peace in the company of his Dad Christy in God’s loving presence, and may his memory continue to inspire faith and goodness in all who knew him.”
And: “I send my deepest condolences and all my love to Deepa, Maya, Molly, Christopher, Thérèse, Dympna, and all of the Nolan Family. You are the most special family to me and I cherish the wonderful times I spent with all of you. I felt so welcomed into your family when I was so far away from my own. Chris always entertained me with his clever wit and his sharp sense of humor. I loved our many lively dinner conversations and I think of him whenever I see a reference to Babette's Feast. I am deeply saddened to hear of Chris' passing and I pray that he will find you in a thousand new ways. May he rest in peace. Xx”
While another mourner wrote: “Our sincerest condolences to Maria and the Nolan family.”
And another added: “Condolences to the Nolan family in your huge loss. May Chris rest in eternal peace reunited with his loved ones gone before him.”
