Accused of stealing from church boxes in Kildare

ALLEGED

A Wicklow man was accused of stealing money from church boxes.

Daniel Moore, with an address given as 55 Church Hill in Dunlavin, County Wicklow, appeared in Naas District Court on Thursday, January 26, in relation to the alleged offences.

Gardaí claimed that the 45-year-old had stolen from a church box at Allenwood Catholic Church on February 11 last.

They also alleged that Mr Moore stole money from another church box, located at Milltown Church, on March 3 last, and again from a church box at an unspecified County Kildare church on November 28 last.

The judge adjourned the case to March 13 to allow time for directions from the Director of Public Prosecutions.

He also granted bail for the defendant, who was represented by solicitor Brian Larkin.
