The Monasterevin St Patrick's Day parade committee are looking for entries for the return of this year's event.

The volunteers have worked really hard over the last few weeks to get the parade up and running again.

“We now ask anyone who would like to participate in this years parade to message our Facebook page with your phone number and name of group/club/business/ marching group/float etc so we can book everyone in,” said the committee.

“The cost is €25 per entry and we will contact all entries with a time and meeting place closer to time.

“We really want this year’s parade to be a major success so if you can lend a hand before the day or on the day, donate a raffle prize or if you could even spare a few euro for our Go Fund Me even a small donation of €5 from every household would really go along way to keep as much as we can free on the day.”

The activities planned so far include a dog show. The cost of entry is €5 and the venue is Monasterevin Community Centre garden. There will be various different plaques and prizes for each category.

There will also be a baby show. The cost of entry is €5 and the venue is the Monasterevin Community Centre. There will be various different trophies for each category.

Raffle tickets will be on sale and the draw will take place on Friday March 24. Tickets — €2 each or three for €5. Great prizes to be won.

“We will also have a colouring competition with various different prizes for each category. We will drop competition entries to all schools in the coming weeks and display all entries in the community centre to be judged St Patricks Day,” added the committee.
