Council blocks €11m plan for 44 new homes near Naas town centre

Naas

Litter bins are being taken out of Naas.

This is happening in places - such as the lakes area - where Kildare County Council believes there are too many bins in situ.

Council engineer David Reel said when damaged bins are taken away from places where there are too many they are “not always replaced.”

He added: “We do have a lot of bins in the town compared to other locations.”

He was responding to a request by Cllr Anne Breen for a public waste bin in the Piper’s Hill area at Kilcullen Road.

KCC will review the area and identify a possible location for a bin. However it was also  pointed out that there is currently a bin on the Kilcullen Road at the Broadfield View residential area.
