Unused Defence Forces accommodation should be put to use.

A call has been made for these properties to be leased.

Newbridge Councillor Chris Pender is calling on Kildare County Council to write to the Department of Defence seeking the use of "the recently identified 62 vacant married quarters sited in County Kildare."

He also says money should be sought from the Department of Housing to fund any necessary work.
