An update has taken place in a case surrounding a suspected Kildare town crack cocaine haul.

It was heard back in November of last year that 33-year-old Ian Graham, of Bishopsland in Kildare town, stood accused of hiding the suspected haul at a nearby property.

Gardaí said that the suspected haul was discovered on November 11 last, and Garda Sergeant Brian Jacob said at the time that the total estimated value of the suspected drugs was around €4,000.

He added that gardaí believed that the suspected drugs involved are a mix of heroin and cocaine.

After a book of evidence was served on the defendant by gardaí, Judge Desmond Zaidan sent the case involving Mr Graham forward for trial to the next sittings of Naas Circuit Criminal Court, which will commence on October 3.
