The construction of a new youth centre facility has been proposed for the town of Monasterevin.
Planning permission documents show that Kildare Youth Services TA In Sync Youth & Family Services is seeking permission from Kildare County Council for the development at the rear of the town's Main Street (W34 KX40).
The applicant intends to take down the existing corrugated clad shed to rear of site, and to subsequently construct a new 90m2 building, comprising of an activity space, kitchenette, toilet and mezzanine.
The group also intends to construct a covered area with photovoltaic panels and external landscaping to front of new building, and to connect to existing services located within the Monasterevin Architectural Conservation Area (ACA).
The date received on the application is listed as November 30 last, while the submission-by and due dates are listed as December 12 and February 2, 2024, respectively.
