A Kildare-based councillor has criticised the presence of an illegal encampment and dumping at a site located just outside of Newbridge.
Fine Gael Cllr Peggy O'Dwyer sent in images to the Leinster Leader showing the encampment near the Lidl Distribution Centre.
She has raised the issue surrounding the presence of illegal encampments at this area in the past.
Explaining her concerns, Cllr O'Dwyer said: "(It is) so disappointing. The private owners of this road have a responsibility to take legal action but for some reason are not.
"Kildare County Councul should not be responsible to inherit this situation once the Taking In Charge process is complete."
