Kildare Co Council gets green light for 39 new homes

Kildare County Council has been given the green light by An Bord Pleanála for 39 new homes in a social and affordable housing development in Newtown, Celbridge. 

The plans for the site on the Ardclough Road include a widening of Pausdeen Bridge to build a pedestrian footpath. 

An existing single storey uninhabitable dwelling will be demolished before construction. 
 
The 39 residential units will comprise: 
  •  a four-bedroom two-storey house, 
  • 13 three-bedroom two-storey houses 
  • 8 one-bedroom single storey houses 
  • 4 three-bedroom duplex apartments
  • 6 two-bedroom duplex apartments
  •  3 two-bedroom single storey apartments
  •  4 one-bedroom single storey apartments.
The works also includes car parking, bicycle parking, landscaping, tree surgery, a new internal road and footway network, public lighting and signage.
