Naas is County Kildare's tidiest town

Election posters "should be banned" from Naas town centre

Naas

A total of seven County Kildare towns have been awarded gold medals in this year's Tidy Towns competition.

They are Naas, Celbridge, Kill, Clane, Newridge, Straffan and Maynooth.

Naas is the overall County Kildare winner and Cllr Bill Clear paid tribute to all of the volunteers and Tus workers as well as Kildare County Council staff.

“We are delighted to have received the highest marks in County Kildare and we thank those who work daily to keep Naas looking beautiful and a great town to live in,” said  Cllr Clear.

Silver medals have been awarded to Ballymore Eustace, Kilcullen and Rathangan.

A bronze medal was awarded to Broadford.
