Naas Hospital is third busiest in the country for overcrowding with 33 patients on trolleys today

Naas Hospital is the third busiest hospital in the country today with 33 patients reported as being without beds.

According to the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation (INMO) in their Trolley Watch figures, there are 29 patients in the emergency department and 4 patients on wards elsewhere receiving treatment on trolleys at Naas Hospital so far this morning.

Meanwhile, 332 admitted patients nationwide are waiting for beds this morning, according to today’s INMO Trolley Watch. 216 are waiting in the emergency department, while 116 are in wards elsewhere in the hospital.

The worst-hit hospitals today are:

University Hospital Limerick – 49

South Tipperary General Hospital - 35

University Hospital Naas - 33
