Kildare events to mark 25th anniversary of the arrival of St Thérèse of Lisieux's relics

The celebrations begin on Tuesday, September 29
A special three-day Triduum of prayer and celebration will take place at the Carmelite Church, White Abbey, Kildare Town, later this month to mark the 25th anniversary of the arrival of the relics of St Thérèse of Lisieux to Ireland.
The Triduum will honour St Thérèse, known as the Little Flower, as well as her parents, St Louis and St Zélie Martin, with a programme of Masses, prayer and veneration.
The celebrations begin on Tuesday, September 29, with Mass at 10am followed by veneration of the relics.
On Wednesday, September 30, Mass will take place at 8am, followed by the blessing of roses and an opportunity for veneration.
The final day, Thursday, October 1, coincides with the Feast of St Thérèse. A Solemn Mass will be celebrated at 7pm with Bishop Denis Nulty, followed by veneration.
Organisers are inviting people from across the community to take part in the special anniversary celebrations and to spend time in prayer and reflection.
The Triduum will focus on the spirituality of St Thérèse and her ‘Little Way’, a message of finding holiness in ordinary acts of love and simplicity.
As St Thérèse famously expressed: “Little flowers change the world.”
