Kildare motorist stopped with 'full house' of driving offences

Naas Roads Policing Unit stopped the vehicle in Kildare recently
A Kildare motorist was stopped recently for what gardai described as a “full house” of driving offences.
An ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) alerted Naas Roads Policing Unit to a vehicle suspected of having no insurance.
The vehicle was stopped by gardai and what followed was a catalogue of offences.
- No insurance
- No motor tax
- No NCT
- Learner permit holder driving without ‘L’ plates displayed
- Roadside drug test - FAILED for cannabis.
A garda spokesperson said of the incident: “This isn't bad luck. It's a complete disregard for road safety and every other road user. This motorist was arrested and the vehicle was seized.
“Driving is a privilege, not a right. If you take to the road, you take responsibility for your actions.”
