Michael is deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving daughter Clare
Tributes have poured in following the death of Michael O'Riordan from Central Park, Clane, Co. Kildare.
Michael passed away suddenly at home on Tuesday February 22nd and is pre-deceased by his parents Eithne and Peter and brothers Stephen and Bernard.
Michael is deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving daughter Clare, brothers and sisters Martin, Deirdre, Paul, Laura, Shane, Fergal and Ronan, extended family and a large circle of friends.
Friends of Michael have left condolences on RIP.ie, with one mourner writing:
"My sincere condolences to Clare and all his brothers and sisters. To have known Michael as a friend is something I will always treasure. He was kind, generous and inspirational to so many, a true humanitarian. Rest well Michael."
Another wrote:
"I am shocked and saddened by the news of Michael's passing. I worked with Michael many years ago in Oxfam and was very pleased to see him join the Trócaire/CAFOD team in South Sudan some years later. He was hugely committed to the sector and his work and was a kind and hardworking colleague. My sincere condolences to Clare and the O'Riordan family. He always spoke very lovingly of Clare and we remember her at this difficult time."
While another said:
"Dear Michael, I can't believe that your gone so soon. my tear can't stop rolling from my eye, you were not only a colleague to me but a mentor and a father as you made my journey to a motherhood very joyful by supporting me as i prepare to receive my daughter. I was hopping one day you will meet her and my family. your legacy will remain forever with me and my family. my sincerer condolence to your family especially daughter Clare as I still remembered the film you did with her. my almighty God give you strength during this difficult moment. May your soul rest in peace Amen!!"
Funeral arrangements
Reposing at Oliver Reilly Funeral Home, Woods House, Clane, (W91 YPX4) on Tuesday from 4pm to 8pm. Removal from the Funeral Home on Wednesday at approx. 11am to arrive at the Church of St. Patrick and St. Brigid, Clane for 11.30am Funeral Mass, followed by committal prayers in Newlands Cross Crematorium at approx. 1.30pm.
