Kildare's Ellie O’Toole has been honoured with The Croke Park Hotel/LGFA Player of the Month award for March 2024.

The news caps a wonderful few days for the Kilcullen player, who was a member of the Kildare squad that captured the Lidl National League Division 2 title at Croke Park last Sunday, following victory over Tyrone in the Final.

Kildare had already secured promotion to Division 1 of the Lidl National League for 2025 by finishing on top of the divisional standings, before Diane O’Hora’s charges concluded League their campaign in style by lifting second-tier silverware.

Ellie (24) came off the bench in the second half of the Final to help steer Kildare to a three- point victory.

A new addition to the panel in 2024, Ellie has been playing at wing-back and performing at a very high standard.

In a team laced with established stars, the introduction of Ellie has been a breath of fresh air for Kildare as they prepare for the upcoming TG4 Leinster Senior Championship, which also contains TG4 All-Ireland and Leinster Senior champions Dublin, Meath and Laois.

Ellie started against Laois on March 3 as Kildare clinched promotion, before starting and excelling against Tyrone in a St Patrick’s day draw, in what was a dress rehearsal ahead of the Division 2 Final.

Ellie was presented with her award today by Ina Lazar, Assistant Director of Sales, The Croke Park Hotel.
