McCabes Pharmacy CEO Sharon McCabe with LloydsPharmacy Managing Director Jan Pieter Hallema and Retail Director Brian O'Keeffe
LloydsPharmacy locations across Kildare will soon begin rebranding to McCabes Pharmacy, marking a significant change to local and community pharmacy care in the county.
Two LloydsPharmacies will undergo the rebranding in the coming months following the successful transition of the new Ashleaf store in Dublin last week.
In addition to the existing McCabes Pharmacy location in Athy, LloydsPharmacies in Crookstown and Naas will also rebrand in the coming months.
The move comes as McCabes Pharmacy solidifies its presence across Ireland. The pharmacy chain has so far expanded its footprint to 112 stores and employs 1,400 people.

This transition aims to provide exceptional care and an enhancement of services to reflect evolving healthcare needs. This includes the rise of digital health, a focus on personalised and preventative care, and the expanding role of pharmacies in providing integrated health services.
CEO of McCabes Pharmacy, Sharon McCabe, said: "We are excited to mark a new chapter in the Kildare community and nationwide. By coming together under the McCabes Pharmacy name, we are not only expanding our reach and becoming more accessible to our patients but also reinforcing our dedication to patient-centric healthcare. We are excited about the future and the opportunities this rebranding brings as we become Ireland’s leading pharmacy brand with 112 pharmacies in addition to providing greater access nationwide to Ireland's largest online health pharmacy website and app which boosts excellent customer ratings for service including next day delivery and click and collect."
Managing Director of LloydsPharmacy, Jan Pieter Hallema, reassured customers that: "Whilst our patients will still see the same familiar faces from the teams they know and trust, this new more resilient pharmacy network combines the strengths of both brands allowing us to enhance our services and continue to meet the evolving needs of our customers."
Despite the transition, customers can be reassured that prescriptions and medication orders will not be affected and service will continue as usual with the same pharmacy teams.
