Threatened to throw acid in ex-wife's face, Kildare court told

Court told she had previously been granted a protection order

A man threatened to throw acid in his ex wife’s face.

This was the allegation made by the woman at a family law hearing in Naas District Court.

The woman told the court she had been granted a protection order over a year previously and Judge Desmond Zaidan commented that this had now expired.

She alleged that since the order expired the “threats have started again.” The man was not present or represented.

Judge Desmond Zaidan granted an interim protection order and adjourned the case to September 8.
