The court also heard that those involved in the case are members of an extended family.
Garda Tuohy stated that when charged the defendant made no comment to all of the allegations.
The court heard that the assaults took the form of touching of private parts inside and outside clothing and the touching of the defendant’s penis after he took a hand of an injured party and placed it on his penis.
Defending solicitor David Powderly said the defendant is protesting his innocence.
It is being claimed that the offences took place at different locations within County Kildare.
The defendant was freed on bail in his own bond of €1,000.
He must sign on twice weekly at a named garda station and surrender his passport.
The defendant was also told not to engage in any voluntary work with children under the age of 18 and is to have no contact with the alleged injured parties.
Judge Desmond Zaidan granted free legal aid.
The case was adjourned to April 2 for the preparation of a book of evidence.
