Great news for Kildare as nearly 100 new homes get green light
The green light has been given for 97 new homes in Portarlington on the Kildare border.
A decision to grant planning permission was issued by Laois County Council to Randelswood Holdings Limited.
The project on four hectares off Bishopwood Road has an estimated construction value of €19m, according to Construction Information Services database.
The properties will include 63 two storey three bed semi-detached homes, nine two-storey four-beds, 17 two-storey, two-bed terrace units and 8 two-storey three-bedroom units.
Also planned are creche facilities.
There will be a new vehicular entrance on Bishopswood Road.
The plans include footpaths, landscaping, amenity areas, car parking and public lighting.
